PROJECT MISE EN PLACE
The EVE is a creative, contemporary hotel and the anchor of Wunderlich Lane, the hospitality precinct that transformed Redfern in late 2024.
The hotel interior is open, welcoming, and quietly refined - the kind of place that feels luxurious but not overdone or fussy.
The EVE had a strong sense of brand, values and creative direction well before opening, which presented a real opportunity for uniforms to shine in this space.
The EVE were specifically looking to work with Australian designers. The Worktones name was referred and our team’s background in fashion really resonated. It wasn’t only our design credentials that mattered, though. Because of our expertise in hospitality, we were able to answer the brief in a way that a fashion label alone couldn’t.

PROCESS NOTES
The EVE had a detailed brief covering everything from the interior design renders to a breakdown of job functions. This clear direction helped the design team develop a moodboard that explored visual elements like the colour palette to functional details such as pocketing.
It was then onto the proposal phase, where our design team created pieces from completely new blocks, unlike anything in the existing Worktones archive.
ORDER UP
Worktones designed and produced uniforms for front-of-house (in both femme and masculine fits), concierge, the pool team,
maintenance, housekeeping and the connecting restaurants - Lottie, Bar Julius and The Olympus.
