PROJECT MISE EN PLACE
Three Horses has opened its doors on Little Lonsdale Street, down the road from its iconic sister venue Caretaker’s Cottage.
Founders Matthew Stirling, Ryan Noreiks and Rob Libecans (who go by the group name, Fancy Free) were hit by inspiration when sipping sherry at a century-old bodega called “La Venecia” in Madrid and decided to create their own version of it in Melbourne, and that is how Three Horses came to be.
The guys from Fancy Free are well known and much loved in the bar and hospo scene. Their original venue, Caretaker’s Cottage, is of course iconic and people know it, love it and travel far and wide to drink at it. Three Horses, being their sister venue, was an exciting opportunity to drop into our inbox. We instantly loved the concept and the quirk of a bar centred around Sherry.

PROCESS NOTES
Fancy Free have a knack for creating venues that are full of whimsy, so we knew whatever they had in mind for their uniforms was going to match that passion for storytelling and details.
They approached us with a clear concept, wanting to go big with the embroidery on both the front and back of the Dynamo Shirt to amplify their branding.
Their clear direction - and their commitment to sticking to it - is really indicative of who they are as a group and as people. They’re so much fun to work with. Everything has a story, everything has soul, and everything is done with real intention.
